Memorial Day Picnic

Our Memorial Day Service was held on May 28th, 2006 out under the grove of trees behind the school. A time of praise & worship was followed by a word from Jim Kingsbury. After the service, the festivities moved to alongside the pond, where a fried chicken and sides lunch was enjoyed by all. Sweet Shoppe desserts were served - the same delicious sundaes which will be served at The Great Frederick Fair come the end of September. An auction was held to raise funds to offset the cost of the two spaces at the Fair which will house the now famous Dog House and Sweet Shoppe. The children were treated to pony rides provided by the Horn family and a moon bounce, which Pastor Jack manned all afternoon! Thanks Jack! Thanks also to all who contributed auction items and to everyone who worked so hard to make the day a success. Click and hold on picture to zoom.
